Old Friends (again!) - My Favorite Things

A few days ago, I posted a couple cards using the Old Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things for ages.  I was making cards for a show so also used the second set of people for this one and I love the images.  This set is just how I remember my Grampa & Gramma looking and although they've been gone for years, I think of them often and have such wonderful memories.  It was Gramma who sparked my interest in crafting... she always had a neat project for us kids to do and we looked forward to it.

Old Friends - MFT

I've had the Old Friends stamp set from My Favorite Things for ages... I always thought it was so cute but have just got around to using it now. My apologies, I did not write down any of the colours or additional dies, etc I used. I was making a stack of cards for a show I and neglected to do it so I'm just using my (short) memory. At any rate, I am keeping this short because I have a few posts to get ready.

Ribbit - Pink and Main

Hi there!

Today's card is for a little boy and I wasn't quite sure what I should do for it but I think this fits the bill because all little fellas like worms, farting and frogs!

This is another stamp set I've had 'curing' for awhile waiting for just the right time and I guess that's now!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Namasleigh - Three Room Studio Challenge

Happy Saturday everyone!  It's time for another fun Saturday Challenge for Three Room Studio and this week's theme is Glitter!

One of my favourite tasks every year is to make my own tags for Christmas and it's something I look forward to.  Some of this year's tags use the Namasleigh set of digital stamps and these guys are so cute and fun!  The set includes two sentiments plus I used a saying from the Just a Moment digital set.

I used Stickles to add glitter to the snowflakes and reindeer's nose and when the tag was finished, I added a coat of Sheer Shimmer craft spray.

Check out my fellow Design Team members...

Now it's your turn!!  Check out all the details on the post below.

Good luck!

Merry

I did this card quite awhile ago but never got around to posting it.  The Santa is MFT Jingle All the Way and it's always been a favourite of mine and one which I've used multiple times.  The die is MFT Stacked Merry (another favourite which I use every year) and the snowflakes are Waffle Flower's Galina's Snowflakes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Reindeer Love - My Favorite Things

Here comes the start of my annual tag blitz, trying to get ahead of the game and get them done before the big rush.  For this set of tags, I used MFT Reindeer Love set which is just the cutest stamp!

You know, it's so easy to get die cutting and pile up a little supply of die cut pieces but when you begin the colouring, it's like 'whoa... but was I thinking?' I cut out 3 sets of two so when you count everything up, that's 18 base cuts, 6 sets of embossing and 12 reindeer.  I do tend to get carried away but I like to do them and seem to always use them up

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Fla-la-la-mingo! - Paperie Ink

Hi there!  Well, it's another Christmas card done!  I love these funny little flamingos from Paperie Ink's Fa la la mingos clear stamp set.  So cute and they also make great tags.  I paired them with the Stacked Merry die from My Favorite Things... this is one of my favourite dies and I use it a lot.

I've also recently become obsessed with the glossy dots from Pink and Main - they give everything just a little bit extra glitz!

Thanks for stopping by and stay well!

Happy Saturday and that means it's time for another fun Saturday Challenge for Three Room Studio and this week's theme is to create a card/project Using Floral image.

I do enjoy Sandy's florals, they are so pretty and delicate.  This is the Lady Slipper digi and the sentiment is from the Aww Thanks stamp set.

Caveman Zog

Hi there!

Today's card is for a special guy who is in that late 40-ish age group and this Caveman Zog image totally cracks me up!  I saw a sentiment similar to this somewhere in my internet wanderings and wish I could remember who did it so I could give her credit for it but I thought it was genius.

At any rate, the card was a hit... I find guy cards can make my brain a bit numb and really challenge me but this set is perfect.

Thanks for stopping by, stay well and have a great week.

Polar Bear - Impronte D'Autore

Hi there and I hope you are well and staying warm, especially if you are in a cold area like I am. Brrr.... I do not like the cold weather!

I found the sweetest stamp set and think the images in this set are just the cutest ever! The set is Polar Bear from Impronte D'Autore, they've got some nice sets and I have a couple more on my 'must have' list.

On the card front, I stamped the image and sentiment, coloured it with Copics, then did a partial cut with a circle die. Distress inks were used with a circle stencil on the card base and embossed with Shabby White Frantage.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

Namasleigh - Three Room Studio Challengee #63

Happy Saturday!  Can you believe there's only four more Saturdays until Christmas?

Time for another challenge at Three Room Studio and this week's theme is to create a project with a CAS theme (Clean and Simple).

For my card I've used one of the images from the newly released Namasleigh digital stamp set which is so cute (don't you just love that man bun?) and such a good value because in there's four images and two sentiments in the package plus you have the option of adding the bun or not. I used an embossing folder for the background and then taped two circle dies together to get the 'wider on one side' shape, coloured the image and the card is done!

Here's the list of my fellow Design Team members who are also participating:

Oddball Reindeer - Stamping Bella

Hi there and I hope you are fine.  It's cold here and we have a bit of snow...  of course, when I say cold, it's not terribly cold.  If this was the first day in spring with this temperature we'd probably all be outside without a jacket and talking about what a lovely day it is!

Like almost everyone else, I'm getting pressed for time with getting my Christmas cards finished and the push is on!  These three cards were made with the Oddball Reindeer from Stamping Bella.  I've said it before but these Oddball images ae just the best and some of my favourite stamps!

This is a great stamp set because you get all three images plus the sentiment.

I have to remember to make these images into Christmas tags for next year... they would be such fun on a package!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there!

Hedgehog Flower - All Dressed Up Stamps Release

October already!  Sometimes it seems like time just drags and drags yet the next time it seems like it's zipping along quickly!  I cannot complain about the weather because we are still having summer-like temperatures and it's so pretty with all the different coloured leaves on the trees.

We have a new release at All Dressed Up stamps. I have been given the Hedgehog Flower image to use and this is a card for my granddaughter.  She went through a phase where she wanted a hedgehog so badly but Mom said no so I guess pictures will have to do.

We've also got more new images and here's a snap of the three new ones:

Aww Thanks - Three Room Studio Saturday Challenge

Today's post is for Three Room Studio's Saturday Challenge and the theme is Thank You and

I've used the Aww Thanks set plus the matching die

Including myself, the following team members are also participating in the challenge.

I sponged Bundled Sage distress ink onto a cardbase and then smeared the same ink to a piece of acrylic, added some water and spread it around a bit with my fingers and then 'smooshed' it down over the card base to get the mottled effect.

The Hugs sentiment was stamped with Bundled Sage distress ink and cut with the matching die.  I also cut 4 more layers out of white card stock and then glued them all together.

Be sure to check out the Three Room Studio shop to have a look at the stamp sets, to the Three Room Studio blog, the design team blogs and Instagram.

More Rainbows, More Unicorns

One last rainbow card!

For this card, I used the My Favorite Things Rainbow Whimsy die, coloured the segments with Copics and added Frantage.  I found this funny little unicorn at Goebie and I think he's so fun and cut.  I did the shading with Copic Ts and added some sparkle with Stickles.  The sentiment is computer generated and cut out with My Favorite Things Stitched Clouds die.

The sun is Lil Inkers Designs Small Sun die - such a shame they closed shop because she had some of the cutest stamps and dies and this sun is an all time favourite of mine.  The heart is from the Verve Hearts die and the rectangle is Gina Marie's Stitched Rectangle.

Rainbows & Unicorns

I have been busy making some cards for kids, mostly little girls and did some more rainbow themed ones.  This one is similar to a card I did a couple weeks ago, same layout, stamps and dies except this one has a unicorn.  The unicorn is from Craftin' Desert Divas and is called Magical Unicorn.  Sadly, that is another company which is no longer in business.  I used the My Favorite Things Happy Rainbows die which I coloured with copics and then added some Frantage.  The clouds are also My Favorite Things and from the Stitched Clouds set.  The heart is from the Verve Hearts die and the rectangle is Gina Marie's Stitched Rectangle.

Koalas, Clouds and Rainbows!

Today's card uses a combination of stamps and dies from my stash.  Rainbows were really trending for awhile so of course I had to jump on the bandwagon.

I quite like  the My Favorite Things Happy Rainbows die which I coloured with copics and then added some Frantage.  The cute little Koala is Reverse Confetti's Bear Hugs.  This is a stamp set which every one of my grandkids like and they've all done some artwork with it at one time or another.  The clouds are also My Favorite Things and from the Stitched Clouds set.  The sun is Lil Inkers Designs Small Sun die - such a shame they closed shop because she had some of the cutest stamps and dies.  The heart is from the Verve Hearts die and the rectangle is Gina Marie's Stitched Rectangle.  There you have it, a total of 7 stamps and dies on a small A2 card!

Thanks for stopping by!

Everest Next - Penny Black

I have had this Penny Black Everest Next stamp for ages (like years!) and never got around to inking it up.  It was on a wood block and that was partly why it wasn't used because I store my wooden stamps in a drawer and sometimes they don't see sunlight for a very long time.  This image won't fit on an A2 card but it's perfect for a slimline so I've finally used it.  Those little mice are so cute!

Embossing the My Favorite Things Snuggle Bunnies sentiment (I think this set is discontinued) onto black cardstock was just right for this image and I also used Mama Elephant's Slimline Card Basics die.
