On Top of the World - Sugar Nellie

 It's Friday again and although Friday seems to be my favourite day of the week, I'm beginning to wonder where my time is getting to.  Here we are, mid July and the year more than half over.  It's been a good summer so far so no complaining here.
Today's post is reviving another card I made way back in 2012.  This is one of the Gorjuss stamps available at Funky Kits and she's called On Top of the World.   You know, I look at this and wow, my colouring has changed so much over the last three years.  I think some of it stays the same but some of my shading and hair colouring is very different.

This is the first Gorguss stamp I've ever owned and really, they are timeless, aren't they?

The Collector

Today's Sugar Nellie inspiration post is not my usual card format but instead I decided to make a bookmark for a fab little gal I know who loves to read.  It can also double as a tag as I am going to put a nice little greeting on the back of it for her and stick in within the pages of  a new book we bought for her.
I'd also like to give a shout out to my teamie, the very talented Janine who created some new watermarks for the Sugar Nellie DT - thanks Janine!
The Gorjuss Girl image is called New Heights and available at Funky Kits.  There are quite a few of these little cuties under the Gorjus/Santoro collection and some new ones in the 'new' section.

On Top of the World

It's time for another challenge at Bizzy Bec's and July's theme is Flower Power so it means flowers, flowers, flowers!  This is the first Gorguss Girls stamp I've ever owned - had my eye on them for awhile but when I saw the chance to preorder from Bec's store, I jumped at the chance.

 This little gal is called On Top of the World and I used Copics to colour her and Tumbled Glass distress ink for the clouds.  The flowers and pearl strings are also from Bec's shop.  The sentiment is one from Whimsy Stamps Magical Mini Letter Seals set, pearls are from the stash and the papers are K & Company.  Be sure to check out the challenge blog for some fabulous inspiration from the design team, more details about the challenge and prizes.  Have some fun!
