All Wrapped Up for Mummy - All Dressed Up Stamps Challenge

It's time for the October 2024 All Dressed Up Stamps September Challenge and I have chosen to use the All Dressed Up for Mummy digi image.

I've used this cute image before but it's such a sweet Halloween image and so versatile too.  For the moon, I used Antique Linen, Mustard Seed and Black Soot distress inks and for the sky, I used Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Faded Jeans and Black soot.

Be sure to head on over to the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog where you can see all kinds of inspiration from the rest of the girls on the team. Join us for some fun and wonderful creations at the Facebook Fan Page, Facebook Challenge (there is a theme for this one) and there's also a Pinterest page to view some more gorgeousness.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Be Kind - Simon Says Stamp

Hi there and I hope all is well with you.  For today's card, I pulled out a stamp I've had for ages but had been 'curing'.  Be Kind from Simon Says Stamp is such a pretty and versatile set with beautiful sentiments.  I thought I'd try something a little different and so embossed the image and sentiment in gold and pulled my pencils out.  I like using pencils but am far from being an expert with them but thought these leaves were small enough to give them a try.  When finished, I used some chunky white embossing powder but don't really like the look I got.  Lastly, I added a few clear dots.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Bees, Bees, Bees

Hi there!

I recently purchased Honey Bee's Hexagon Cover die and later saw the cute Bee Hive stamp set so of course, started obsessing about it and was going to order it.  Yesterday while I was looking for a stamp, I found that very set in my 'new stash' which is a box that I keep my new stamps & dies in until I can get around to using them.  So glad I spied it before I ordered another (I've done that more times than I care to admit!).

Anyway, I got busy right away and made a card with it and I think those cute little buzzers and the hive are my new favourite stamp set!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Sleepytime - All Dressed Up Challenge

Hi there and welcome to another challenge at All Dressed Up stamps.  I've chosen to use the sweet little fox digi named Sleepytime.  Normally I avoid anything with fur but I thought this guy would look fine without the strokes so I stuck with blending.
The theme for the challenge is always Anything Goes with the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image. If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or by downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.

Tags - Christmas and not

Hi there and I hope you are well.  The mad rush is on for me with the last of the holiday tasks to finish up before we leave for Christmas so I thought I would post the last of my Christmas tags and add some that were made for my granddaughter to add to her gifts.
These cute chubby robins are from Clearly Besotted Red Robin set and the tag die is CC Designs Holiday Tag Die set.  I cannot find a link to the Robins anywhere so maybe it has been discontinued.
This fun little reindeer stamp is from Clearly Besotted and is Let's Prance - I love these silly little fellas!
These two are for our granddaughter and the bunny is also Clearly Besotted and is the Woodland Kisses set.  This company has some of the sweetest stamps!  The silly chicks are Technique Tuesday's Chicks Rule and again, another set which may be discontinued because I cannot find a link for it anywhere on Technique Tuesday but did manage to find one at Scrapbook.com.  This is what happens when you dig out stamps you haven't used yet...
Another great stamp set of animals and this one is Simon Says Stamp Encouraging Animals.  Cute set with 5 different animals and several sentiments.
Here's some Gorguss Girls for the granddaughter and again, stamps I've had forever so it's nice to finally get some ink on them.
This one is Sugar & Spice.
 Next is Little Love and
finally Little Song.
There, I think this wraps up the last of my Christmas tags to post.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great Christmas and holiday season!

Season to Sparkle - All Dressed Up Challenge

Hi there!  I don't know about you but I'm starting to feel the pressure of Christmas although I'm really not sure why.  We will be away for a few days so I didn't decorate or bake and I have all the shopping done but I guess it's something we go through every year.

Moody Unicorns - Gerda Steiner Designs

I have some tags to share today which I've had done for quite awhile but not blogged.  They are easy peasy to make and don't take long to do at all.
I cut the tags using Simon Says Stamp's Stitched Dress Up Tags and used Gerda Steiner's hilarious Moody Unicorns clear stamp set.  They didn't take long at all and tags are a good way to use some of those pieces of scrap paper we all save.  And bonus... you end up with the cutest little tags ever!

Squidgy Tags - Stampingbella

I have been busy making tags but these are not for Christmas but I thought maybe a birthday or any gift.  I always get a charge out of these funny Squidgy Kids from Stampingbella and we all know a wee one who has these little tantrums or shall we say, moments when they 'asserts themselves'.  Most of them do it or try to... they have to test the waters, so to speak.
For this little box, I used the instructions and pattern from Sandie's Tag Box tutorial on Stampingbella.  I made a couple of small changes but it's a great tutorial and she even has the file for Silhouette users.
I made six tags and used the small image from Screamy Suidgy, Grumpy Squidgy, and The Squidgy Who Couldn't.  I used bits of sentiments from those sets plus the 'I Simply Cannot' is from The Chicks Who Couldn't Even.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week.

Snow Love - Christmas at Sweet Stampin'

Hi there and how are you doing?  I have to apologize, I have not been able to make it around to visit blogs like I want to but I hope to catch up with everything very soon.  I really enjoy popping by and seeing what everyone is doing but I just haven't been able to of late.
It's time for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and the theme for this month is 'Snowflakes'.
This was a great theme for me this month because I was able to use another of those stamps which has been 'curing' and hadn't seen any ink yet.  The image is CC Designs and I do love these little lovebirds on this stamp called Snow Love.  I haven't used one of their stamps for awhile and wow, I am impressed.  They are deeply etched rubber and give you a clean, crisp stamped image the first time.
To enter the challenge, you can interpret it however you want but your project must follow the 'Snowflake' theme.

Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the gals on the team have created and here's a great chance to get a head start on your holiday cards for this year.
Thanks for stopping by!

I'll Always Have Your Back Stuffie - Stampingbella

This week's challenge over at the Stampingbella blog is a sketch and it seemed to me these sweet little elephant stuffies would be perfect for it.  I do like these stamps and especially these adorable stuffies.  When you have the right image, papers and sketch, everything just falls into place, doesn't it?  The name of this cute little stamp is I'll Always Have Your Back Stuffie.
Here is the sketch - easy and perfect for having your image the focal point.  I used those lovely Maja Design papers... wish they were more readily available in my area because I'd buy, buy, buy!

I did the Ellie & Phant image in an earlier post and this time I used the W series of Copics to colour them instead of the C's and I like them both.

Ellie Loves Phant Stuffies - Stampingbella

I finally made a card!  I've posted a couple in the new year but they were made the first week of December and I hadn't sat down to craft since.   I had purchased a few of the Stampingbella new Stuffies and I just love these little guys.  I followed the sketch over at Stampingbella's challenge this week which you can find here:
http://stampingbella.com/blog/its-our-first-bellarific-friday-of-da-year-and-a-question-i-need-feedback-on/
This stamp is from her Stuffie line and is called Ellie Loves Phant and what a cute couple they make!
Now when I look at this, I think... why on earth didn't I colour those hearts pink instead of red?  A nice bright pink would have looked better but so often you don't notice that until the pic is taken and ready to be posted.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

It's time for a new challenge at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and the theme for this month is 'Stars'.
This was a great theme for me this month because I was able to use another of those stamps which has been 'curing' and hadn't seen any ink yet.  The image is Lili of the Valley Musical Christmas and I do love their stamps.  They are deeply etched rubber and give you a clean, crisp stamped image every time.

Choose - Sugar Nellie

My inspiration card for Sugar Nellie this week is using Choose, designed by Leanne Ellis and you can find her at Funky Kits.
http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/
I like these images and have several of the stamps.  They are a little funky and primitive and I like the look of them.  I had an awful time deciding on those sparkly hearts, in fact for the first week of this card's life there was a big green flower where they sit.  I was never really keen on it so I eventually pulled it off and added the hearts instead and I am much happier with them than the flower.
Don't forget to enter the challenge at the Sugar Bowl and there's always plenty of inspiration on the Sugar Nellie Facebook Fan Page.

Last Friday of the month and then it's March... can't say as I'm sorry to see the backside of February either because this is bringing us that much closer to spring.  Believe me, spring is a very big deal because it's great to see the end of another Canadian winter is close to being over.
