Hi there!  I hope you are well and doing fine.

Join us for some fun and wonderful creations at the Facebook Fan Page, Facebook Challenge (there is a theme for this one) and there's also a Pinterest page to view some more gorgeousness.

New Home - Pink Petticoat

I wanted to make a card for a dear friend who is moving into a new place and the digital image
called In My Garden from Pink Petticoat fits the bill.  Sadly, this company isn't in business anymore and I miss it because she had some cute images.  I know she was done for awhile and then came back under The Lovely Studio but that appears to be gone now too.

I used a die from Marianne Design Craftables #1248, coloured the image with Copics and it was done in a flash.

Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Dachshunds Shaker Card - Gerda Steiner Designs

Hi!  I hope you had a great Christmas with family, joy, hugs and of course turkey!
Today's card is my third and final guest spot at Gerda Steiner Designs and again I am using the cute Dachshunds clear stamp set... man, I can't spell that at all without looking it up!  There is also a coordinating die set for this clear stamp set but I don't have it so I brought out my trusty scissors and this little guy was so easy to fussy cut.  There's some cute balls and party hats with the set so I coloured some and added them to the shaker with sequins.
I have a dear internet friend who has a Dachshund and his name is Rambo... I think of Rambo every time I look at this pup with the flying ears!  Love that big name too... most small dogs don't know they are little and it makes me laugh when I see them acting big, as long as they aren't a snappy little dog.
Thanks for dropping by and have a terrific week!

Petunia & Penny - Stampingbella

Hi and I hope you are well and all is fine.  I'm afraid it's very close to officially winter here but I've been hoping it's not so.  We got a huge dump of snow the day after Hallowe'en and yesterday was so cold!  I don't like it when it begins this early because it means 5 months of winter and I'm good if winter is only a month... I wish!
Anyway, my card today is Stampingbella's Petunia & Penny Take a Break and I must say, I have always favoured these little pigs.  There's a sketch for this week's Bellarific Friday and I love doing sketches because all the thinking is done for me but for the first time in ages, I made what in my opinion was the ugliest card ever!  I used purple as my main colour and everything that could go wrong did and I just wasn't happy with it so I started over and I am much happier with this one.
Here's the sketch:
Okay, I'm off... I think I'm going to do some baking today, some nice sweet little squares and get a head start on the Christmas baking.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Penguin Party - Sugar Nellie

I don't know about you but for me, the days are flying by.  It seems like once December 1 arrives, they go into zoom mode and I feel like I don't have enough time for anything.  The girls from Sugar Nellie have been so gracious to give us a break over Christmas so I will use my time to get some shopping done, gifts wrapped, maybe even the odd good treat might come out of the oven.  If I am not back before then, I would like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and all the best in the New Year.
For today`s card, I used the Penguin Party digi which is one of my favourite digi stamps by Sugar Nellie.  The sketch is one I found on Pinterest and the scallop edge die is Marianne Craftables CR248.
You can find Penguin Party in the Funky Kits shop:

Princess - Sugar Nellie

Happy Friday to all of us!
For today's DT card at Sugar Nellie, I used the Princess digi.  I love this image and have used it several times and you'll probably see it a few more. I decided to mix it up a bit this week and instead of the usual square card, I did a circle. hahahha... not really anything too different, just the shape!
Here is the inside of the card:
This sweet little gal is available in digi format from the Funky Kits shop.

Last Friday of the month and then it's March... can't say as I'm sorry to see the backside of February either because this is bringing us that much closer to spring.  Believe me, spring is a very big deal because it's great to see the end of another Canadian winter is close to being over.

Pretty in Bows

I have to tell you, the last month has been a whirlwind and I think I am going to welcome the slow routine-ness of January.  I really haven't accomplished a lot but have been quite busy with those end of the year appointments like the optometrist, dentist, etc. and I am glad they are over, especially the dentist.
We have a new challenge at The Sugar Bowl Challenge Blog and as always, the theme is Anything Goes.  To enter the challenge, you have to follow three simple rules:   You must follow the challenge theme,  your entry must include a Sugar Nellie image and finally, you  must link your project to The Sugar Bowl.  The first place winner will receive a prize of 4 SN digis with the second prize of 2 digis.
There is also a design team call at The Sugar Bowl and you still have time to enter.  It's a fab group and I love those images, both rubber and digi.

http://sugarbowlblog.blogspot.ca/
Now, on to some details about the card.  I chose to use one of the rubber All Dressed Up images and this little gal is called Pretty in Bows and I think she is too.  Yellow is not a colour I normally use but I found these pretty Authentique papers and like the softer, more muted tones.  Silly thing though of course now that the card is together, the photo taken and watermarked, I see I have the music paper upside down.  Sheesh...hahhaha... I do this stuff a lot and why is it that you don't ever see it until it is posted?  At least I don't.  Not a big deal I guess but one of those picky little things that are a minor annoyance.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Merry Christmas, a Joyful Holiday and I wish you the very best for 2015.

Sugar Nellie, Sugar Nellie, Sugar Nellie!

I have some very exciting news I want to share!  Sugar Nellie recently had a design team call and since this has always been a DT I've aspired to be on, I decided to throw my hat into the ring.  I was so thrilled and still am that I was asked to join the Sugar Nellie team... there were so many fabulous entries (and I do mean fabulous) and I was so lucky to have been asked if I wanted a spot.  Like really? .... of course I'd love to! (that took a nano second!)
So today's card is my first post as a Sugar Nellie design team member.  For my card, I chose to use Sundae Service from Funky Kits.  I've had this stamp for a while now and have always liked it so today is the day!  It's been many, many years since those days of serving ice cream or burgers on roller skates happened and I always loved it in the movies where those pretty pony-tailed gals wheeled around serving food.  I can barely stand up on the darn things so I've always thought roller skating was a real talent.
Also, don't forget to swing by The Sugar Bowl Challenge blog and the Sugar Nellie Facebook page for some fabulous inspiration.  Remember... there's a DT call happening at the Sugar Bowl!
Thanks for stopping by.
