Well, I finally did it... I made my first shaker card and am actually quite happy with it but there was a few times when I wasn't so sure I'd finish it. First off, I'd bought my fun foam and acetate awhile back, put it in a 'safe' place and then spent some time looking for it. Sheesh... it was right where I'd put it! I thought maybe that same little wretch who stole my glue eraser had come back for more supplies. First mistake was thinking I'd bought acetate but nope, when I opened the package, it was vellum and of course that isn't what I wanted to use. Lucky for me, I had a couple sheets of the acetate which is good but I now have 25 sheets of frosty vellum... hahhahahah... not sure what I should do with that!
After deciding on the image I wanted to use, I head on over to my Silhouette and that thing just frustrates me to no end. Two hours later and a massive pile of scrap paper, I did end up with a nice little cut out image. This is my own fault though... if I used that machine more, I'd get along with it better but usually I give it a couple of glares and march right by. And finally... as I sit here looking at this picture, her wand is covering part of the sentiment. Brother... it is far too late now to move it without having the paper tear so it is where it is. If you look at it from just the right angle, you can see what it says...
Anyway, after all my rambling and whining, I'm also about to tell you that this card is my Friday post for Sugar Nellie and I've used the
Elf Made Magic digi image. These little fairies in the shop are always a favourite of mine.
There's
always plenty going on over at Sugar Nellie so pop back in often
because every day one of the gals on the DT features a new
project. Also, don't forget to enter the Anything Goes challenge at the
Sugar Bowl (remember to use a Funky Kits image) and there's always always plenty of inspiration and chatting on the
Sugar Nellie Facebook Fan Page.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
