Little Scottie Dog - All Dressed Up Release

Hi there,
We have a new release at All Dressed Up and there's four new (and very cute) digi stamps.  I was given Little Scottie Dog to use and I have to tell you, this stressed me out, a lot.  This is the cutest little puppy but fur is just not my thing.  I've just realized as I'm typing the name, it does say Scottie but when I Googled pics to see the colours, don't ask me what I was thinking but I was looking at Yorkshire Terriers... oh well... good thing it wasn't named Little German Shephard!
Be sure to visit the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  to see what else was created by the team for this release.  While you are there, take a peek at the current challenge where the theme at the is always Anything Goes with the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.

I Love You - Crafty Sentiments Designs

Today is the beginning of a new challenge at Crafty Sentiments and the theme is New Beginnings which can be anything new... a new home, a new baby, new love, however you interpret it.  This is my last post for Crafty Sentiments Designs as my six month term is up and I have decided not to stay on.  The ladies on the team are a lovely bunch and I want to thank them for having me.
I was given the I Love You stamp to use which can be found at the Crafty Sentiments Designs shop.
I had a bit of an opportunity (I call them creating opportunities, not mistakes) when tying the twine around my patterned paper.  Got my little tag finished and finally managed to tie a decent double bow and was feeling pretty pleased with myself until I turned it over... I'd done it upside down which is why the knot and tag are so close to the bottom.  At that point, it seems like a lot of trouble to pull everything off because I had glued the bow down so it wouldn't come undone.  I used to stress so much about this kind of thing but after looking at what was involved with changing it,  I decided to leave it alone.  I always do the tick-tock-double-lock and had a whack of glue on the back too so it was going to get messy.  I think it looks ok and I guess in a couple months, I won't even remember what I had done.
Back to the challenge... details and rules and rules for the challenge can be found on the Challenge Blog and the generous prizes for the winners are:
3 images if the winner used a Crafty Sentiments Designs image; 1 image only for a winner who has not used a Crafty Sentiments Designs image; 1 image for our crafty sentiments favourite.
Be sure to pop by the challenge blog and check out what the talented ladies have created.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Warm Hands, Warm Heart - All Dressed Up

It's time for a new challenge at All Dressed Up Challenge Blog and my choice of digis to use is
Warm Hands, Warm Heart. This is a perfect card for me to do at this time of year because where I live, it takes a little more than a cup of hot chocolate to keep my hands warm.  Brrr.... it's cold here so I stay inside most of the time.  Not much for snow but the temps are way too cold.
My brain was very tired as I did this card... so much activity and card making before Christmas that it seemed like it was very hard to think of anything so I kept it quite simple.
The theme at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  is always Anything Goes with the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.

Petunia & Penny - Stampingbella

Hi and I hope you are well and all is fine.  I'm afraid it's very close to officially winter here but I've been hoping it's not so.  We got a huge dump of snow the day after Hallowe'en and yesterday was so cold!  I don't like it when it begins this early because it means 5 months of winter and I'm good if winter is only a month... I wish!
Anyway, my card today is Stampingbella's Petunia & Penny Take a Break and I must say, I have always favoured these little pigs.  There's a sketch for this week's Bellarific Friday and I love doing sketches because all the thinking is done for me but for the first time in ages, I made what in my opinion was the ugliest card ever!  I used purple as my main colour and everything that could go wrong did and I just wasn't happy with it so I started over and I am much happier with this one.
Here's the sketch:
Okay, I'm off... I think I'm going to do some baking today, some nice sweet little squares and get a head start on the Christmas baking.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Feeling Spoilt - All Dressed Up New Release

Hi there and welcome to the All Dressed Up March release.  Wendy has given us four new gorgeous images to work with this month and my card is made with Feeling Spoilt.  This leggy gal along with the other three new ones are available now in the All Dressed Up Etsy store.
Be sure to pop by the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog where you can see gorgeous makes by the rest of the design team.  While there, why not enter the challenge?  It's always Anything Goes and the only requirement is that you use an All Dressed Up image.  There is also a Facebook fan page and a monthly challenge there as well.
My photo is a tad crooked... got a new camera and am still trying to figure it out.  I was having an awful time with the old one because the pictures seemed to look so faded so we'll give this one a whirl and hopefully it works out.
Happily, winter is on it's way out here in Saskatchewan Canada and I'll be so happy to see the hind end of it as it leaves.  It's been a very mild winter with very little snow and the temps have been quite mild.  So funny, as soon as we get a day with the temperature above freezing, I see all kinds of people at the mall wearing shorts!  I would be frozen... and what gives me to giggling is that in the fall when we have the first cool day with the same temp, everyone is commenting on how cold it is.  Spring is my favourite time of the year and although we can still have a couple months of winter weather, I know it's not going to last much longer.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Time to Shine - All Dressed Up

Hi there and I hope you are well.  All is good here and it's beginning to look a little bit like winter with the early snowfall we just received.  I don't mind it but I'm hoping it doesn't stay - winter is way too long when it arrives this early.   Our new home renos are getting close to being finished.  The painting is done for the most part with just a few touch ups left.  Cupboards in, counter tops on, sink & taps finished too.  It will feel good when it's finally finished but this has just about done us in.  The work hasn't been major repair or even that difficult but we work at home all week and then head to the new place for the weekend so we seem to be continually busy.  Okay, enough about that...
Time for a new challenge over on the All Dressed Up blog.  I've used the adorable Time to Shine sweetie.  I do love those All Dressed Up images but I have to say, the little ballerinas are my fave.
As always, the theme is Anything Goes but you must use an All Dressed Up image.  If you want to participate but don't have one of the images (really??), Wendy has some adorable freebies here and you can buy any of her art at the Etsy Store.  The challenge winner will receive 3 images of their choice and one of the top three will be invited guest design for the next challenge.  You can also join the Facebook group where there's lots of chatter, a challenge and mega talent.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
