Oddball Boy - Stampingbella

Hi there and I hope all is well with you.
Today's card is a birthday card made for a young pre-teen fellow and I thought the Oddball boy was perfect for him.
I stamped the image, masked it and using an old toothbrush, splattered Black Soot Distress Ink over the white cardstock.  The card worked up quite quickly and don't you just love that sentiment?
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Fairy Garden House - Stampingbella

Almost the weekend again and yay for that but where is the time going?  It's going to be Christmas soon, then a new year rolling over... whew!  I think the older you get, the faster time flies.
Today's card is one I've always thought I should have on hand and I finally got around to doing one.  It is for someone moving to a new home and it's funny, I've given cards like this in the past but I always bought it, simply because I didn't have one in my card box.
I used Stampingbella's Fairy Garden House and kept it quite simple with just the image, sentiment, a little Frantage and some enamel dots.  I did add some clear Wink of Stella to the flowers.
Have you ever tried Ranger's Liquid Platinum embossing powder?  Wowsa, this stuff is a fabulous colour.  I know my sentiment looks gold but it really is more of a platinum colour and I love it.  Gold seems so bright sometimes but this is my new favourite colour because it's one of those 'just right' shades.  Then my old standby and anyone who knows me knows how much I like the Stampendous Frantage.. I love it but not too much though, just little bits for accent.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Petunia & Penny - Stampingbella

Hi and I hope you are well and all is fine.  I'm afraid it's very close to officially winter here but I've been hoping it's not so.  We got a huge dump of snow the day after Hallowe'en and yesterday was so cold!  I don't like it when it begins this early because it means 5 months of winter and I'm good if winter is only a month... I wish!
Anyway, my card today is Stampingbella's Petunia & Penny Take a Break and I must say, I have always favoured these little pigs.  There's a sketch for this week's Bellarific Friday and I love doing sketches because all the thinking is done for me but for the first time in ages, I made what in my opinion was the ugliest card ever!  I used purple as my main colour and everything that could go wrong did and I just wasn't happy with it so I started over and I am much happier with this one.
Here's the sketch:
Okay, I'm off... I think I'm going to do some baking today, some nice sweet little squares and get a head start on the Christmas baking.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Polar Bear & Mousie - Stampingbella

One of my favourite things to do every year is make tags for Christmas and as soon as my new Stampingbella stamps arrived, I knew Polar Bear & Mousie would be perfect for a set of them.
There are coordinating dies with this stamp which can be purchased in a bundle but for now, I ordered only the stamp.  I love this little bear and tried to do him a bit diffrently with each tag so one is standard shading and the other I used dotty shading.  Now I can see I forgot to add some little pearls to the second tag... how come you don't see those things until the photos are taken, watermarks added and they are on the big screen in front of you?
At any rate, I am happy with how they turned out and have plans for some more... with my other new stamps  got at the same time!
Thanks for stopping by and have a terrific week!

Cave Couple - Stampingbella

Thank you for stopping by and I hope all is well.  Winter is just around the corner here... no snow yet but it's the air is crisp and keeps you walking at a very brisk pace.  I don't look forward to snow or winter at all but it happens every year and you'd think I'd get used to it.
Anyway, on to my card and this is going to be a very short post.  I have a dental appointment tomorrow and a zillion things to do tonight.  I didn't change dentists when we moved so it's a two hour drive each way.  The drive isn't the worst of it... it's what happens when you are in 'the big chair!
This is Stampingbella's Cave Couple and these two are just the cutest.  Very sweet image and I think that with different papers, this would even be cute as an engagement or wedding card.
If you are looking for it, I haven't added my colours and supply list but will do that tomorrow evening.
Thanks for popping in!

Slick Chick - Stampingbella

Oooh-la-la, parlez-vous français?
This chick is just 'cracks me up'!  She's a little vampy and campy and she's Stampingbella's Slick Chick.  I like so many of the Stampingbella images but the little chicks are some of my favourites and I would say I am very close to having all of them.
Hope you are keeping well.  It's definitely fall here with the leaves having turned colour and many fallen to the ground but the temps are still 'light jacket' kind of weather.
Take care and thanks for stopping by!

alltogethereveleyn - Stampingbella

Hi and I hope you are doing well.
This is going to be a very quick and short post because I am running behind.  I should have had this posted a couple days ago but after being away for five days, I'm finding it difficult to catch up. Slowly but surely....
This card is something different from me.  I've liked the Danielle Donaldson stamps since Stampingbella began carrying them but I was never too sure what I should do with them since I tend to gravitate more towards the cutesie images.  The theme last week at the Stampingbella blog was to make your own background so I immediately thought of the alltogetherevelyn stamp I have and doing a sunburst background. Somewhere in this craft room of mine is a Tim Holtz sunburst stencil which I searched high and low for but did not find so off I went to find one for my Silhouette cutting machine.  Once it was cut, all I did was use sponge in a straw coloured Tim Holz distress ink and the background was done.  After colouring the image, I cut it out with scissors (yeah... I still fight with that cutting machine to cut around images) and glued it down. A few Kennedy Grace Creations Honeybee sequins and the card was finished.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Chicks with a Sprinkle on Top - Stampingbella

Hi & hoping you are having a great week.  To those dealing with the devastation and upheaval due to the hurricanes - stay safe.  As one who has never experienced this trauma, I cannot begin to imagine the trauma but our thoughts are with you.
I am seriously trying to work my way through the mounds of Stampingbella stamps I have.  I love them and buy some from every release and then buy some more not from the release... you know the drill!  I am determined to get ink of some of these little lovelies and today's card is Chicks with a Sprinkle on Top.  Ice cream solves a lot of problems... actually, probably whatever chocolate does not.  The challenge theme at Stampingbella this week is a sketch:
I like working with sketches because it takes so much time and work out of making a card because most of the design is already there.  I didn't add the squares but put some flowers on instead.  I needed the sentiment on the front and was having problems making it fit with the squares so I changed it up a bit.
That's it from me for today.  Take care and thanks for stopping by.

Tiny Townie Heidi - Stampingbella

Hi there and I hope you are doing well.  The heat wave we have had all summer seems to be gone right now and it's a bit cooler.  Those hot, hot days are a good excuse for me to craft in the air conditioned basement.
Today's card is one of Stampingbella's cute images and this one is Tiny Townie Heidi Needs a Hug.  I love these girls and the chicks... I adore those silly little chicks!  I am trying to use some of my stamps more and get a little ink on them.  The challenge theme this week at Bellarific Friday is a sketch and those are so easy to do.  Pick some paper and away you go!
Here's the sketch:

Note to self... Clip the little metal tabs off the dies or you end up leaving an impression on the paper.  When I noticed what had happened, I already had everything stamped and cut and felt I had bigger battles to wage than some little marks so I left it as is.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Hi there and I hope everyone is well and doing fine.  I am... the heat wave seems to have passed or at least giving us a break for a bit and I like that.
I needed an anniversary card and thought Stampingbella's Forever My Always was just perfect.  I quite like this image because it's so sweet and I like the adoring way they look at each other... happy and still with a lilt in their step.

The Chicks Who Couldn't Even - Stampingbella

This is me.  On Monday.  Facing a long week.
I love these Chicks Who Couldn't Even from Stampingbella.  There's three in the set and I plan to do all of them just because they are super cute and very funny.
This was another easy week at Bellarific Friday because all you have to do is follow the sketch.  Easy Peasy and here it is.

Be Your Own Hero - Stampingbella

This is Stampingbella`s Hayley the Hero and I just love this image and the message.  I made this card with a special little girl in mind... it`s a perfect sentiment and image for her.
The challenge at Stamping Bella`s Bellarific Friday this week is a sketch and they are usually so easy to follow and the images seem to be made for them.  Here`s the sketch:
http://stampingbella.com/blog/its-bellarific-friday-60/
I have to admit, doing all the folds in her cape was a real challenge and although I`m not entirely happy with it, I will give it a passing grade.  Those are hard to do!  I cut her one foot out and placed it on to the sentiment banner and am quite happy with that effect.
Not sure if you`ve seen it or not and I am not affiliated with Stamping Bella in any way but she`s got a new release out and some of the cutest images ever.  My bundle of new rubber should be arriving any day now.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week.

I'll Always Have Your Back Stuffie - Stampingbella

This week's challenge over at the Stampingbella blog is a sketch and it seemed to me these sweet little elephant stuffies would be perfect for it.  I do like these stamps and especially these adorable stuffies.  When you have the right image, papers and sketch, everything just falls into place, doesn't it?  The name of this cute little stamp is I'll Always Have Your Back Stuffie.
Here is the sketch - easy and perfect for having your image the focal point.  I used those lovely Maja Design papers... wish they were more readily available in my area because I'd buy, buy, buy!

Nice to See You Petunia - Stamping Bella

This is Petunia the Pig and probably one of my favourite stamps.  I don't often use a stamp more than once (another reason why each of my cards costs about $99 to make...) but I've used this little oinker a couple times because it's so cute.  I love the 'missing U's' in the sentiment... so clever and those funky, retro glasses just crack me up!  I'm entering this in Stamping Bella's Bellarific Friday which for this week, is a sketch:

Jenny Joy - Stamping Bella

Love this new image I got from the latest Stamping Bella release.  The name of it is Jenny Feels Joyful and I think it's so cute, Christmas-sy and perfect for the holidays.  This weeks's challenge at Bellarific Friday is a sketch and at first I didn't really know what to do with the border outside the circle until I took a peek at the Cheery Lynn Designs Italian Flourish die I have in my stash and figured it would work great.  You cannot see all the pretty intracate cuts of the die but the outer border makes some nice scallops for around the circle.
sketch-18-sept-11 copy
I used Copics to colour the image and sorry, I did not write the colours down.  I was surprised at the detail in this image and it took longer to colour than I thought it would but all in all, I was happy with the results.

Belinda & Bernadette - Stampingbella

Hi there and thanks for stopping by.  Today's card is using one of Stampingbella's Uptown Girls called Belinda & Bernadette Bench Buddies and I decided to have a play in the Bellariffic Friday Challenge.  This week's theme is a sketch:
http://stampingbella.com/blog/
That takes all the work out of designing a card... I love working with sketches and it simplifies everything for me.  There's also some sneak peeks going on and the DT is showcasing some of the soon to be released stamps.
You know, about two weeks ago, some horrid little wretch sneaked into my craft room sometime during the night and stole my glue eraser.  I hadn't realized how much I use that thing to get those little glue gobs off but I really, really miss it.  I have searched this room three or four times and cannot find it so that's how I came to the conclusion that some little troll stole it.  I have another on order... well, two actually so this never happens again but they haven't arrived yet.  Hopefully it will be soon!

I Carry Your Heart with Me - Stampingbella

Hope you are well and thanks for stopping by.  My card today is Stampingbella's I Carry Your Heart With Me from the Diane Duda collection.  I love those images... I ordered a few of them when they were released and am just doing it now.  I always say I like to let my stamps 'cure'.
Anyway, I made this card for the challenge at Bellarific Friday challenge and the theme this week is One Layer Wonder.  Wow... that had me stumped for a moment because it's been a long time since I've done a card without patterned paper, gems, brads, etc so to jazz it up a bit, I did some doodling around the edges.  I tried extra hard to keep my printing neat... I do so much writing, typing and numbers and am always in a rush so my handwriting tends to be a little messy.  Not like a doctor's... just plain messy!  The final bit was some Frantage... love that stuff!

Jayden Loves to Journal

I love all the Stampingbella images but my favourites are the Uptown Girls.  This is Jayden Loves to Journal and I liked this thoughtful little cutie from the first time I saw her.  I purchased this stamp at The Paper Trail and thought it was time to get some ink on it.  I don't see it in the shop right now but all you have to do is ask Chelsea and she will order it.
I always like to check out Bloggabella and saw this week's challenge is the perfect sketch for this image.  I did have to flip it so I could get the image and sentiment on the same paper but I think it turned out ok except now when I look at it, her cup is at an angle on the table... should have straightened it better but still, it's ok and I am happy with it.

Hanging Hearts

It's time for Challenge #8 at A Die For A Sketch and this month's challenge is sponsored by Whimsy Stamps.  The sweet Denise is giving the challenge winner a die - how fitting is that?  A Sketch & Die challenge and a Die for a prize!  Just in case you've never used the Whimsy dies, I can vouch for their quality... perfect and precise cuts every single time.

I have never, ever had a card which was as beat up as this one... I struggled with the image, the background paper, the dies, the ribbon, a bow I had on... took off... put back on... took off!  Sheesh... this thing was torn apart so many times that I'm surprised the edges aren't crumpled and I'm pretty sure this card was so sick of me by the time I was finished!  The image is Stampin Bella's Hanging Heart Block and I used various shades of red Copics to colour the hearts and when dry, they were covered with Glossy Accents.  Diamond Dust was sprinkled over some glue randomly dotted on the paper.

I used Sizzix's Bigz Flowers 3-D for the rolled flowers (I know, it's hard to see them with the black) and the Poppystamps Lorelai Outline Leaf.  The paper is My Mind's Eye and the brads are Stampin Up.
The only rules for entering the challenge are that you follow the sketch and use at least one die and here's your sketch:

Be sure to head on over to see what the rest of the design team have to share with you and then have some fun with the sketch and your dies.
Challenges:
Bearly Mine - Something Old, Something New (new item is the ribbon and everything else has been
waiting to be used for a long time)
One Crazy Stamper - Anything Goes
Penny's Challenges - Favorite Embellishment (mine is the Stampin' Up brads... just ordered more

Posh With a Present

It's a new month so that means a new challenge at A Die for a Sketch.  The challenge rules are simple - you need to follow the sketch and use at least one die on your card/project.  This is Posh Has a Present, one of Stampingbella's Uptown Girls.  I love this collection and of course went a little bonkers and bought a couple.... well, ok... maybe 10, but they are so darned cute!  Besides being adorable, they are very large stamps.  This is a 6 x 6 card and the stamp fills it up but to me, that's a plus so I'm happy.

I coloured the image with Copics; the ribbon is from one of Really Reasonable Ribbon's monthly collections; the paper is from one of my all time fave paper collections which is Basic Grey's Little Black Dress; the Memory Box Fresh Daisies flower die is a Simon Says Stamp exclusive.  Finally, I added little bits of Glamour Dust and some Viva Cream Pearl Pen.  Here's the sketch you need to use for the challenge:

Challenges:
Basic Grey - Punch It
No Matter Which - Die Cuts &/or Punches
Stamp & Create - Anything Goes
Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Oozak - Sparkle & Bling
