Oh Happy Day!

Today's card was a bit of an experiment and took a lot of help from my sister who is brilliant with the Silhouette Cameo.  I am not.  I asked her to make me a Big Hugs file and it must have taken her all of 10 minutes so she sent it back to me and I cut it with the Scan n Cut.  The little mouse is called Oh Happy Days by Stampabilities.  I'm not fond of mice at all but this little one does make a person smile.

The Your Next Stamp Stitched Scallop Rectangles was used as a base over the pretty aqua So Punny paper from Doodlebug designs.  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy, Happy, Happy!

 This is the grad card I made for a second niece who graduated this year - I remember seeing someone's blog a long time ago and she'd used these stamps together and I thought it was so cute but sadly, I don't remember the site. 
I kept it fairly simple with lots of white space but the sentiment (which is Stampin Up's Happy Everything) seemed so perfect for a graduation.    The mouse is House Mouse's Oh! Happy Days and I thought it was also very fitting for the occasion.  Now I'm not partial to mice at all but these little House Mouse characters are the sweetest and it's all good because they are not real!  The image was coloured with copics and a bit of Antique Linen distress ink rubbed around the edges for shading.  I used a Provocraft border to emboss the top and bottom, scored some lines and then added some little flatback embellishments and a bit of ribbon.  Easy Schmeasy!

House Mouse

The new challenge at Creative Card Crew is Birthdays at Christmas & the challenge is open for the next two weeks.  Be sure check out the rest of the design team's submissions.
I used one of the Stampabilities House Mouse stamps named Relaxing  Bubbles #HMG1015.  The image is coloured with Copics, some stickles added to the bubbles & the papers are Tim Holtz.  I used one of my Nellie Snellen dies for the scalloped trim & the brads & ribbon are from the stash.
There is no sponsor this go-round but there is a really great prize which is a guest designer spot & the word is that there will be more than one prize!

Happy, Happy, Happy!

Today I can officially announce that I am on the design team for Bizzy Becs & I think this little mouse perfectly describes how I feel about it.  If you don’t already know about it, Bizzy Becs is a fabulous online store where you can purchase all those little bits of supplies we have to have.  She also has monthly challenges on the Bizzy Becs Blog & there is a huge Welcome  blog candy package to be won.

This little guy is one of Stampabilities House Mouse & is called Oh! Happy Day & I think he is just the funniest... makes me smile when I look at him! Funny thing... I used to think those House Mouse stamps were so creepy but they've really grown on me & I find a lot of them really sweet now.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Happy Everything set. The ribbon is also Stampin Up. I coloured the little creature with Copics & then lightly rubbed Tim Holtz's Antique Linen around him. The embossing is with one of the Cuttlebug strips.
