Girls Happy Trio

Happy June 2017!  Can you believe it's here already... the year is nearly half over and my mindset is still in February.
We have a new challenge at Making Memories Crafting and the theme is a bingo board, any line, any way so it's  fairly easy theme to follow.  There are also a few new lovely girls on the design team so pop on over to the blog and check that post out as well.
Our sponsor this month is the very generous Bugaboo Stamps where you'll find lots of great images, digi papers and sentiments.
https://bugaboostamps.com/
For my card, I used the Girls Happy Trio image which is fun and a perfect depiction of a group of best friends or it would be ideal for sisters.  The sentiment is computer generated and I used the AR Christy font.  My first pic was a bit of a bust... hahahah... had it finished and watermarked and then realized I hadn't coloured the hair.  It's so odd to me how you just don't notice those things when the card is front of you but you can spot it immediately once it's on your screen.  At any rate, it took only a moment to add some colours and re-do the photo.
My term is up so this is my last post for Making Memories Crafting.  I would like to thank Sonia and the rest of the team for having me and to welcome the new girls to a wonderful group.
Thanks for popping by and have a great week!

Morning Coffee - Bugaboo

Happy May to you all!  Where on earth has the time got to so that we are in the 5th month already?  I don't know about you but it's zooming by for me.
I decided that I would try to get some of the cards posted which I have had in the 'not blogged' pile on my desk and this is the first.  This is Bugaboo's Morning Coffee and this digi image just cracks me up... it could be, no wait, it is... me!
If I remember correctly, the card worked up fairly quick because after all, there's not much to it.  A sentiment, an image and some pearls and that's it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Daisy Vase - Sweet 7 Designs

In January of this year, I won the Sweetest Creation spot for challenge #9 at Sweet 7 Designs.  The winner of the Sweetest Creation gets a guest design spot in a future challenge so I was thrilled to bits when Mari wrote and asked me to join as a guest designer for this challenge.

http://sweet7challenge.blogspot.ca/
Sweet 7 Designs has a very cool feature... they are always sponsored by the fabulous Bugaboo Stamps and the challenge prize is always 7 images of your choice from Bugaboo and really, who doesn't like those cute Bugaboo images!
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
The image for this challenge is 3-D Elements so all you have to do is add something 3-D to your card like pop-up dots, etc.  I chose the LadybugDaisyVase image and it's a little hard to see but the daisys are the 3-D elements.  Here's a close up so you can see it a little better:
Supplies:
Image - Bugaboo's Ladybug Daisy Vase
Sentiment - Bugaboo's If Friends Were Flowers
Paper - First Edition's Isabella
Be sure to head on over to the challenge and check out what the rest of the gals created.

Christmas Cheers

It's time for Challenge #7 at A Die for a Sketch and it looks to me like JJ has had a little too much Christmas Cheer... which is exactly  what the name of this image is.  This month we are sponsored by Bugaboo and I chose to use JJ-Christmas Cheers.  I can only wish I looked that good sitting in a martini glass!
The image is coloured with Copics and the sentiment is computer generated.  The sparkly bits are my new fave embellishment and it is Eiskristall, which I purchased online from Doe@ding.  Fabulous customer service there and I had the order so quickly that I'm very impressed!
The three snowflakes down the side are Whimsy Stamps Layered Snowflake Dies  and the one behind the sentiment is Impression Obsession's Snowflake Dies set.  The patterned paper is Authentique and the red glitter paper was given to me by someone who completely understands my need to have everything related to paper/stamping!
Copic Colours:
Dress, bow:  R39, R29, R24, R22
Hair: E50, E31, E35, E37, E39
Berries:  R14, R17, R11, R29
Boots:  C10, C7, C5, C2
Skin:  E11, E00, E000, R20
Be sure to head on over to A Die for a Sketch to see what the rest of the gals have created.  Remember, there are only two rules for entering the Challenge - the first is you need to follow the sketch and secondly, use a minimum of one die cut on your project.  Easy peasy and here's your sketch:

Today's card uses a fabulous image I found at Bugaboo stamps & I couldn't wait to get it finished.  It is called Hand in Hand & you can find it at Jodie's store.
I coloured the image with Copics used the Martha Stewart Hydrangea punch for the flowers.  The paper is from DCWV's Nana's Nursery pad.  Both the outside & inner sentiments are computer generated & the pearls are from my stash.  I couldn't believe my good fortune when I found the baby feet charm in that stash... I don't remember buying it but it is just perfect for this card.

This week's challenge at Catch the Bug Blogspot is to make a summer-themed card & hmmmmmm... I just realized I hadn't read that carefully enough & the obvious is here for everyone to see - this is not a card!  I made a gift bag using a piece of paper called Flowers Glitter made by Creative Imaginations.  The image is  Bugaboo Stamps Spring Stuff Bee1 & Bee Flower which were colored with Copic markers.  The little stars were punched & a pearl added.  The remaining embellishments are from the stash.  Head on over to Catch the Bug Blogspot to check out what the other members of the design team came up with & enter to win some fabulous digi stamps.

Bugaboo Stamps New Release!!

Jodie has done it again!  This Christmas gal is from her new release today & unless you want to be left in the dust from the stampede, you better head on over to Bugaboo Stamps & check it out.  I've seen a preview of some of these gals & they are campy, vampy & ooh-la-la!  Make sure you stop by Jodie's blog to see what she's been up to  & then off to Catch the Bug Blog to see what the creative design team came up with.  For my card, I used some fabulous glitter paper which was given to me at Christmas, colored the image with my Copics & added Stickles for the trim on her hat, dress & garter.  The holly brad is from my stash & the sentiment is computer generated.  This is a design set which I must buy!

And woohoo... my second card with lots of red & I seem to be moving out of the 'red Copic slump' where it blotched everywhere I used the red marker!  Here's hoping it stays away!

Christmas in July

The theme for today's challenge at Bugaboo Stamps  is Christmas in July.  Seems like it's too soon to be thinking of Christmas but it will be here before we know it!
I used the JJ Wrapped Up image found in the Character section under JJ, then Christmas Cheer.  These gals are very easy to work with & color up quickly.  I used my copics, cut the tag with Nestabilities & the flower with a Sizzix Sizzlit & some paper & pearls I had in my stash.
Head on over to Jodie's blog & then to Catch the Bug for all the details.
Participating in the challenge gives you a chance to win:
1st prize - 7 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
2nd prize - 4 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice
3rd prize - 2 Bugaboo Digi Images of your choice

Bugaboo New Release

The new release at Bugaboo Stamps today is called Butterfly Borders & I love all the swirls on this one.  I colored it with Copics and then used blue Stickles on every line. Although it doesn't show up too well on the photo, I used my Nestabilities to emboss around the image.  Head on over to Catch the Bug to see what the rest of the design team came up with & then check out what else Jodie put in this set.

Bugaboo Anything But a Card

My project for Bugaboo Stamps this week is Anything But a Card so I chose to do a Treat Bag Cover using Bugaboo's Turtle Flower  whcih can be found in the Critters/More Turtles section.  I used some The Paper Studio paper, cut around the image & scalloped with Nestabilities & colored the image with my Copics.   Easy-Schmeezy & if there are too many jelly beans in the bag, you must eat them!

Love is in the Air - Bugaboo Blog Hop

Hi there & thank you for stopping by my blog.  Today is the start of the Bugaboo Stamps Love is in the Air blog hop.  Your first stop in the hop should have been with Jodie so if you haven't been there, get on over to check it out.  Before arriving here with me, you should have stopped at the creative Cheryl's  & now your next stop with be with the talented Cammy.  Make sure you have checked out the loot & other designs at the Catch the Bug blog, which is also your last stop on the hop.  For my card, I used the heart cuttlebug folder to emboss my cardstock & 'love' is from some fabulous glitter paper I got for Christmas.  Glitter & bling always require Petaloo Dazzlers (I adore those little flowers).  The image I chose was one of the A Kids View - Our Wedding & the digi is Just Married.  Have fun everyone, there's some great prizes and wowzer cards!

Catch the Bug Challenge - Show Your Team Colors

Rah, rah, rah!  FIFA is the world premier soccer event held once every four years.  The 2010 World Cup South Africa begins June 11, 2010 and ends on July 11,2010.  To recognize our international followers, Bugaboo Stamps Show Your Team Colors is a challenge where you make a card or project that features:
  • the team colors of the country that you want to win the World Cup
  • the colors of his/her national flag
  • the colors of his/favorite sports team
Head on over to Catch the Bug Challenge to check out the design teams submissions and enter to win yourself some of Jodie's fabulous digital stamps.
I chose her Bugaboo Brat Cheerleader Girl.  I am very sports challenged so I thought a cheerleader is quite safe!  I made my own paper... my gosh, impossible to find a piece of 'Canada' themed paper so I found a free clipart side & copied & pasted the maple leaf logo, printed it off & ta-da! I had a piece of paper.  I then coloured the little gal with Copics & for a change did not have a disaster with the reds.  And what would pom-poms be without Stickles, Stickles, Stickles?  I found the little verse on the internet & printed it out.  Have fun with your project!

Freebie Friday

Every Friday Jodie at Bugaboo Stamps has a freebie & this is today's image & here is what I've done with it.  I love this little turtle... he just says 'Celebrate' to me.  I coloured him with Copics & added some Stickles for a little glitter & because you all know how I love my Stickles!  The little flower is a Cuttlebug die & the paper is from my stash.  This is the first time I've ever used the core paper & love the second colour when you sand the edges.  After you've downloaded your freebie and maybe some of her other fab images, head on over to her blog and then check out the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog where you can see what the rest of the design team has been up to.  You can also meet Sheila who is Bugaboo's guest designer for June.

Bugaboo Oldie But a Goodie

Today is an Oldie But Goodie day at Bugaboo Stamps & I chose to use one of Jodie's  Wee Ones Fairies & this little gal is title 'Leaning on Knees'.  These aren't real old... heck, I have stamps in my stash that are a year old (I like to say they are 'curing').  They were with the May releases & are too cute to pass up.  I used Copic markers, ribbon & flatbacks from the stash, the paper is Stampin Up & of course any time you do fairies or angels... you get to use Stickles, Stickles, Stickles!!!

Bugaboo Male Call Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge at Bugaboo Stamps is to make a card for a boy, guy or man using the given sketch - check it out at Catch the Bug Blogspot.   For my submission, I chose the Bugaboo Cowboy Lasso.  I coloured the image with copics & although it's hard to see, I did sponge in colour behind the dude to give him some dimesion.  I did cheat a bit... the sketch shows two flowers & I added a third.  The flowers are Petaloos & I pulled the gem centre off & glued in some pearls so they would match the rest of the embellishments.  Instead of using the lasso in the image, I added one by gluing down some jute.

Bugaboo Challenge

This week's challenge at Bugaboo Stamps is Flower Power.  I decided there's a lot of flowers at a wedding & chose the June JJ from Jodie's calendar month collection.  What a hoot this little dame is!  I used Copics to colour the image but really, there is hardly any colouring except for her hair, bouquet & a little shading on her dress & veil.  The paper is some fab stuff I found from The Paper Company called Classic Dots.  A silver gel pen was used to outline her glasses, choker, flowers & the outer edges of the cardstock.  I added some Diamond stickles (I love diamonds & then my next favourite thing is Stickles!) to the flowers, glued them & some pearls on & done!

Bugaboo Anything But a Card

Monday's assignment at Bugaboo Stamps was Anything But a Card so I chose to do a mini Easter basket & the logical choice was Jodie's Easter Bunny digi called Fast Asleep.  The paper colours are terra cotta & yellow & I used the Martha Stewart doily punch for the handle & coloured the image with Copics. I added some flowers from my stash & for the opposite side, I stamped a sentiment from Inkadinkado's Chelsea Sentiments clear set & added a turquoise bow.
This project has been entered in the Friends Having Fun Color Challenge #2
