I was thrilled to be asked by Crafty Sentiments Designs to guest design for them for the next six months and today's card is my first posting for them. I was given this fabulous Christmas Melodies image to work with which is perfect because I now have my second Christmas card done for the year!
This image is available in both digital and rubber stamp format.
In addition to it being new release day, there's also a new challenge happening at Crafty Sentiments and the theme is Anything Goes (easy peasy, right?). Details and rules can be found on the Challenge Blog and the generous prizes for the winners are:

For the card, I used the digital version of Christmas Melodies and added the Winter Wonderland sentiment from TLC Creations. There is a lesson in this card and one I learned the hard way... DO NOT open your Copic marker over your work! I was finished the colouring and about to open the blue marker to do the shading around the snowman and sploosh! I'd filled it too full and when I opened it, two huge (and I do mean huge) splotches of blue landed on the image surface. Ruined, ruined, ruined! I was so annoyed with myself... whipped myself good for that one because it's happened before so I do know better!
At any rate, I redid it and am happy with the end result.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Such a sweet duo Marilyn and beautifully coloured xx
Wonderful Christmas card Marilyn! Fabulous colouring as always. What a pain having to colour it all over again >:(. I've done the exact same thing so I know how you feel but your card turned out beautifully in the end. Love the sentiment in the corner (now on my wish list which is sooo long it probably reaches the moon by now :D!). Debra x
Oh the angst of repeating a mistake - nothing worse! But for all that the card is amazing. Love it, and congrats on the guest DT position.
Blessings

Stunning card Marilyn..huggles Sue xx
Another stunner Marilyn.... the touch of frantage (your trademark!) you use really adds to the effect - particularly in a snow scene. Fabulous colouring too. Congrats on being chosen for the DT.. you'll certainly be an asset.

PS... I've done that with a Copic too! And it's always AFTER the colouring is finished - never before!
This is such a cute card! Thank you so much for sharing with us at Christmas Card Challenges! -Lori DT
