B is for Bear - All Dressed Up

Well, I am happy to say I think spring is just around the corner here... this has been the coldest winter I remember but knowing spring is close always puts everyone in a better frame of mind.

It is new challenge time at All Dressed Up and the theme is Monochrome.  This was a big switch for me because this time I used the digi papers from All Dressed Up and what a nice surprise... easy to use, all colour coordinated and pretty, pretty, pretty so I think I will use them again.  This set of papers is Pinks and it's a gorgeous collection.  A fun thing I discovered was that if you lightly sand the edges of the paper, it removes the ink and leaves a white distressed border... gives it a neat and different look.  I'm not very brave when trying something new like this but for sure, the next time, I will make the sanded edge wider.
This sweet little image is B is for Bear and perfect for a new baby card.  Be sure to head on over to All Dressed up blog to check out the rest of the team's creations, and maybe enter the challenge while you are there but remember,  in addition to following the theme, you have to use an All Dressed Up image.
Don't forget to stop by our Facebook Group to keep up to date with all the latest All Dressed Up news, and chat to fellow crafters.
Have a good one and thanks for stopping by!

Marilyn, what an adorable baby girl card!! The first thing I noticed was the delicate, pretty DP, then was so surprised to learn it is digital...may have to give that a try myself! Sanding the edges is such a nice touch of softness. Great job on this one. Hugs!

Hi Marilyn

Oooh I love what you did with this fabulous baby design..... perfect amount of frantage... gorgeous paper piecing... and it looks so good on the All Dressed Up papers too! Did you actually paper piece the letters too? They have good depth...

And I LIKE how you've sanded the edges.... I'll definitely have to try that one... it looks so good!

Sorry to hear you've had such a cold winter... we've had it so mild over in the UK that all our plants and trees are already growing fast!

Big hugs
