This is my first venture into the world of paper piecing which I did for the umbrella and I like it! I need more practice but I do like the patterned paper effect on the image. I removed the sentiment on the image with Paint.net and after it was coloured, I sprinkled some Shabby Pink Frantage (have I mentioned how much I love Frantage?) around it and then coated some little flower brads into my Versamark pad, dunked them into the jar of Frantage and heat embossed them. If you do this, make sure you use a tweezer to hold the brad... metal heats up - learned that the hard way!
