Mermaid at Heart - Three Room Studio

Hi there and I hope you are well.  
Sandy, the artist and owner of Three Room Studio says May is Mer-may,' a time when illustrators do daily mermaid sketches' so to participate, the design team will use mermaids in our projects throughout the month.
I thought I would try to brush on a background and what seemed like a simple enough task took me four tries before I got the look I wanted.  I used three shades of blue in the Viva Décor 3D Stamp paints diluted with lots of water and brushed it on watercolour paper and when finished, used an old toothbrush to spatter some of the darkest blue onto the paper.  Once the background was complete, the rest was just a matter of colouring, adding some sparkle and glue.
