When in Doubt... The Paper Shelter

Hi and I hope all is well with you.
I have a quick post today about a birthday card I made for my son who is an avid fisherman.  I found this digi image at The Paper Shelter and it's called When in Doubt Exaggerate.  I actually used the name of the image as the sentiment.  The image comes with a coloured one so I used that for the inspiration when colouring the fish.  I'm quite happy with the way this turned out.  I used the tip to tip Copic blending method and I like the little splotches of colour.  Don't you just love that fish and the snarly look on his face and by the look on the guy's face, it took quite a bit to land that big fella!
Thanks for stopping by and have a super good week!
Copics:
Fish - BG02, BG01, BG00.  When finished, I added some splotchy dots with BG02 and then touched them up with a Copic blender pen.  The pinks were added with the tip to tip blending technique using RR11, blues with BG000, Greens with YG17,YG11 YG41. When happy with the colours, I finished the fish by lightly going over all of it with BG000.  For the sky, I rubbed Tim Holtz's Tumbled Glass distress ink, using a little cardboard cloud template I have.
Hat - E37, E35, E33, E31
Pants - B97, B95, B93, B91
Shirt - YR24, YR23, YR21
Boots & Hat Band - C10, C7, C5
Skin - E13, E11, E00, E000, R20 for the cheeks
Hair - E47, E44, E43, Y23
Ground - E37, E35, E33, E31
Water - B24, B23, B21, B00 and then added some stickles
Supplies:
Stamp & Sentiment - The Paper Shelter's When in Doubt, Exaggerate.  The sentiment is in AR Christy font
Dies - Elizabeth Craft Designs Dashing Circles
Paper - Maja Designs

No one and I do mean NO ONE can color with Copics the way you do!
Marilyn your coloring here is fabulous - every single part of this image is perfect. But most of all, your fish is spectacular.
You know how much I love your work - need I say more!

LOL This is so much fun. As a fisher myself I can relate to the exaggeration that seems to creep in when you get excited over your catch OR the one that got away. hee hee LOVE your coloring! Hugs!
