Cherry Pip - Sugar Nellie

For my weekly Sugar Nellie DT card, I used this sweet little gal Cherry Pip which is a rubber stamp available over at the Funky Kits shop.
http://www.funkykits.co.uk/catalog/
I've had this stamp for ages and have used her before here.  This is so amazing to me to be able to see how my colouring has progressed.  I first used this stamp in August of 2011 and was very pleased with the way it turned out then but wow... 4.5 years later, it looks like someone else created the 2016 card!
There's always plenty going on over at Sugar Nellie so pop back in often because every day one of the gals on the DT features a  new project.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

Awww - this is super cute Marilyn, and I love the way you have kept the mounting simple to showcase her perfectly. Sometimes I look back a cringe at my early attempts too :-)

She is darling- looks like a little me- with a dress and hair that will not cooperate! Your coloring always has me closely examining your work too- love your shading and shadow at her feet. Just darling!!! Hope you are not getting too much snow up there- we were missed by the big dumping of snow that just hit the East coast.....

I'm always admiring your beautiful colouring and this really shows why with the fabulous shading of the dress folds and wonderfully textured hair :-) It's so interesting to compare it to your earlier colouring and see the extra depth you have achieved with this latest version...showing that practice really does make perfect!
Big hugs, Kat xx
