First of all, hang on to your hats folks! Four cards in four days is a record for me and probably won't ever be seen again!
This weekend, Sugar Nellie is releasing SN will be releasing the Under the Sea collection of four stamps as digital images which were previously only available in rubber. They are also on a promotional price of £2 each and are available at Funky Kits. Sorry, I don't have the links for the digis yet but if you do a search for Under the Sea in the Funky Kits shop, they will pop up.
There's four of these mermaid little beauties and I chose to use the Aqua Marina image.
In addition to the Funky Kits release, Kit & Clowder's Facebook group is having a 6000 party this weekend and as one of the sponsors,Sugar Nellie will be giving away a few prizes in the competition/promotions Alyce has planned.
Drat! I see a bit of paper lifted on my card and of course one NEVER notices this until the photos have been taken and it's too late to retake the pic.
The water was a real dilemma for me but I decided to make a dotted background with varying shades of Copics and when finished, I used by colourless blender to lift some of the colour out of dots. I then used a grey multiliner to edge around them and then added a dot of white and some stickles. Passionate Paper Creations has a fabulous tutorial that I used to get some ideas and a start on the dotting. Although mine doesn't look anything like hers, I am happy with it and think the softer, more muted colours suit this image.
At one point, I had such a miserable mess on here.. I had used my pearl pen to make the pearl dots and they turned out terrible, kind of all smashed together so after it dried, I managed to scrape it off and then added the bead pearls instead. It was another of those 'I created an opportunity' moments.... hahahahha... oh, the stress of a few silly pearlized dots!
Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by.
