Here we go, my first Christmas card for 2015 but I do have to say, it seemed a little difficult to begin making holiday cards right now. It's always so hectic and busy, busy that once the holidays are over, I get lazy and it appears as though this year is no different. Thank goodness for Christmas at Sweet Stampin' though because by the end of the year, I always have a few cards ready and am glad I was doing them.
The theme at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' for the first challenge of the year is Nativity. I found this lovely little image over at the Digi Stamp Boutique and this image is one from the set called Nativity Scene.
I used a computer generated sentiment and then swirled in some Tim Holtz Distressed Ink for the background. I used Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans and kept it fairly light because I am notorious for blasting in with a heavy hand and then wishing I had kept it lighter. After colouring the image with Copics, I added a Gold Stickles to the star and little dabs for more stars.
Be sure to head on over to the challenge blog to see what the rest of the gals on the team have created and here's a great chance to get a head start on your cards for this year. The only requirement to enter the challenge is to follow the theme. This month, we are sponsored by Funky Kits and the winner will receive two digis of their choice.
Have a great week and thanks for stopping by.
