Thanks for stopping by and I hope you are doing well and trying to get some crafting in during the summer. We have a new challenge over at Christmas at Sweet Stampin' and this month the theme is Krafty Christmas. Our sponsor is Stamp Art and the lovely Kathryn is donating a prize of 5 of her digi images.
This will be the first time in ages that I haven't used Copics. I purchased some of the Spectrum Noir pencils from Chelsea at The Paper Trail and I like them. As an added bonus, the pencils in her shop are the cheapest I've seen anywhere plus she offers free shipping on orders over $75. I have a lot more practicing to do but I thought 'baby steps'... this is such a wee image that it's a good place to start. I used Gamsol for blending and I love how these pencils shade/blended around the lettering.
It's been very warm here for the last week and hard to be motivated to do Christmas cards. Hard to believe it wasn't so long ago that I was grumbling about winter and the cold but it looks like summer has arrived.
Be sure to stop and check out the challenge and see what the rest of the team has created... it's not going to be long and we will be doing the mad Christmas card scramble so it is a good time to start.
Supplies:
Colouring medium - Spectrum Noir pencils
Sentiment - Technique Tuesday's Believe by Ail Edwards
Image - Penny Black Winter Wonderland
Misc- Star Dust Stickles, We R Memory Keepers enamel shapes
Paper - My Mind's Eye Haunted
Challenges:
Divas by Design - Things with Wings
Sister Act - Anything Goes
Through The Craft Room Door - Anything Goes
Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge - Christmas Critters
Inky Chicks - Christmas in July
Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge - Anything Goes

This is a great card Marilyn, such a sweet image and I love the gingham ribbon. I tried the colouring on kraft technique a couple of weeks ago, using SN pencils and was really impressed too xx
This is gorgeous Marilyn. The image is so sweet and your colouring on Kraft looks fabulous.

Hi Marilyn,
This is just so cute. Those pencils look good, your colouring is fab & I like how you added depth to the lettering. It all looks wonderful against the kraft. Thanks for joining us at Divas By Design this week.
Hugs,
Andie xx
I love this card. The little bird is precious on the "R" and glittering his hat like that is the perfect shine on the brown kraft paper. The black enamel heart and dots are awesome. What a great embellishment. perfect ribbon for this, too. This is a GREAT card for so many reasons! Hugs, Gail
