I Love You Slow Much

Today's card is for Whimsy Stamps Challenge and the image I chose to use is one of the very sweet Wee Stamp images and this one is called I Love You Slow Much.

This month's theme is Ribbons and Lace and although you don't have to use a Whimsy image on your challenge creation, it would be great if you did!  As always there are 3 challenge prizes to be won - a $15 gift certificate, 5 digi stamps, and 1 surprise rubber stamp.
I found a piece of paper that's been in my stash forever and decided to go ahead and use it.  It is from Prima's Jack n' Jill collection and I like this a lot because it's printed on both sides so I didn't have to worry about finding a piece to go along with it.  I think I tied 5 bows before I tossed them aside and decided to go with a straight piece of ribbon.  I admire those that tie those magnificent bows but I am usually not very happy with mine so a piece of ribbon works too.  The lace is Whimsy's Lace Tape and this is the bees knees... it has sticky tape on the back and there's no mess or hassle; just cut it and lay it down.  I used some flowers and brads from my stash and the zipper is a Prima Junkyard Trinket.
I've been thinking about my Prisma pencils a lot lately and knew you could use  them with Copics so I thought I'd give it a whirl with this card and I like the look and will be doing it a lot more.  I added little bits of red pencil along the brown Copic of the snail's shell, along his face and the little gal's hair.  Baby steps... I always think it's better to start with a little and once I get a little braver with the pencils, I'll add more.  I see I smuged some of the distress ink on her face - I was too lazy too mask and that's the price you pay although I don't know why I never see those things until the project is finished, the picture taken and it's on my computer screen!  I added some Stardust Stickles to the wings, flowers in her hair and the antennae.  I also made a few dots with a Viva Pearl Pen but they sort of disappeared once I started with the Shabby Blue Frantage (I do like using that product, yes I do!).
Copics:
Shell:  E35, E33, E31 and then some red pencil
Body:  E15, E13, E11, E00, E000
Skin:  E11, E00, E000, R22
Hair:  E37, E35, YR23, Y23

Marilyn, I never even saw the tiny smudge until you pointed it out! I thought things like that only happened to me.....I always think mine look great - until I see it posted! LOL! You don't have to worry about a thing on this though because it's sensational!!!!!!! Love that cute image and your coloring with the Prismas is fan-ta-bu-lous!! So pretty and love the way you did the ribbon instead of using a bow. Beautiful card!!!
