I can't believe how the days flew by and it's been awhile since I've posted. I have been busy though, I have some design team work that needs to be finished for the first week of October and although I started in plenty of time, I seem to get distracted easily. So, onto the card... no one likes making sympathy cards because as we all know, it means someone has passed and those left behind are grieving. I cannot make myself do these ahead of time, I just can't. For this card, I used a cream coloured card stock, the ribbon was from a Really Reasonable Ribbon monthly package. I used a brown ink to stamp the sentiment which I think was from a Papertrey Ink set I have. The embossing folder is Stampin Up's Framed Tulips. I wish these folders were bigger... all my cards are 6 x 6 so I have to improvise a bit. The die is one of my favourite Memory Box dies which is a Simon Says Stamp exclusive named Fresh Daisies. I cut it once with the cream card stock and then again with the brown so it looks layered and shadowed. The final touch is a little glamour dust and it's finished.

Yes I so agree, These are definitely the hardest cards to make. My Hubby always wonders why I never keep any on hand made up ahead of time.. I just won't do it, lol So nice to know I am not the only one who feels this way.... Your card is just So Lovely and Elegant Miss Marilyn.. 8-) Love the soft muted tones and wonderful die cut flower and embossed frame too! Just Really Lovely my friend..
Big hugs
Shannon
What a beautiful and soothing card!
Beautiful card Marilyn, so elegant, I love the fresh daisies die and the colours are gorgeous.
I am the same and never make sympathy cards in advance, it kind of seems wrong to me to have a batch made up ready and I try to make them to suit the person receiving them.
Thanks for joining us at Simon Says Stamp
hugs Mandy xx
