The Pefect Sentiment - MelJens

 

Today's card is my first week as one of the guest designers for the month of June at The Perfect Sentiment .  This week is sponsored by MelJen's and the theme is to create a card with a sentiment appropriate for love, weddings, or anniversary with the added twist of adding some lacy detail, either using lace or a lacy die-cut.  I used one of MelJen's fun little mice which I got as a 400 member freebie from Paper Craft Planet and it can be found here.  The image was coloured with Copics and the sentiment is a saying I found on the internet but it didn't give credit to the author, which is why I don't have it listed.  The patterned papers are from a 6X6 pad of the First Edition Love Letters collection and the narrow ribbon is just woven through the lace border.  Both the ribbon and lace are Stampin Up.  The little flag banners are one of the dies from the MFT Mini Wavy Banners.  I paid next to nothing for that set of 4 dies and they are so versatile that I know I'll be using them over and over.
