It's Wednesday and that means it's time for another challenge at the Whimsy Inspirations Challenge Blog. This week the theme is monochromatic which means use one colour and neutrals for your card or project. Up for grabs is a $15 gift certificate to the Whimsy Store and also...As well as a random winner being chosen, one entrant who has used a Whimsy image will have the opportunity to be a guest designer for a future challenge. Be sure to head on over to see what the rest of the gals have come up with for inspiration.
This funny fellow can be purchased at the Whimsy store and is designed by Lia Stampz. His name is Harry and it's fairly obvious that Harry is having a party. It's maybe a little early but he's doing it anyway. The sentiment is also one of Lia's and I thought it went perfectly with the image, which by the way, cracks me up every time I look at it.
The image is coloured with Copics, the papers are My Mind's Eye and the big sparkly brad is from the stash... it didn't photograph very well but it is a big one! The other embellishments are laser cut chipboard pieces from Make it Crafty and I heat embossed them black. I love those chipboard pieces because they are amazingly versatile and pretty enough without doing anything to them. Lastly, I added some gold stickles for the bubbles.
