Hi there & thank you for stopping by my blog. Today is the start of the Bugaboo Stamps Love is in the Air blog hop. Your first stop in the hop should have been with Jodie so if you haven't been there, get on over to check it out. Before arriving here with me, you should have stopped at the creative Cheryl's & now your next stop with be with the talented Cammy. Make sure you have checked out the loot & other designs at the Catch the Bug blog, which is also your last stop on the hop. For my card, I used the heart cuttlebug folder to emboss my cardstock & 'love' is from some fabulous glitter paper I got for Christmas. Glitter & bling always require Petaloo Dazzlers (I adore those little flowers). The image I chose was one of the A Kids View - Our Wedding & the digi is Just Married. Have fun everyone, there's some great prizes and wowzer cards!Saturday, June 26, 2010

Catch the Bug Challenge - Show Your Team Colors
Rah, rah, rah! FIFA is the world premier soccer event held once every four years. The 2010 World Cup South Africa begins June 11, 2010 and ends on July 11,2010. To recognize our international followers, Bugaboo Stamps Show Your Team Colors is a challenge where you make a card or project that features:
the team colors of the country that you want to win the World Cup - the colors of his/her national flag
- the colors of his/favorite sports team
Head on over to Catch the Bug Challenge to check out the design teams submissions and enter to win yourself some of Jodie's fabulous digital stamps.
I chose her Bugaboo Brat Cheerleader Girl. I am very sports challenged so I thought a cheerleader is quite safe! I made my own paper... my gosh, impossible to find a piece of 'Canada' themed paper so I found a free clipart side & copied & pasted the maple leaf logo, printed it off & ta-da! I had a piece of paper. I then coloured the little gal with Copics & for a change did not have a disaster with the reds. And what would pom-poms be without Stickles, Stickles, Stickles? I found the little verse on the internet & printed it out. Have fun with your project!

Bye Bye Girl
What a fab little stamp I found for our granddaughter's second birthday. Zooming along on her bicycle with her ladybug backback on her back... the only difference is that when we saw Abi on her bike, she had a kleenex in her little storage tank. Not sure where she was going with that tissue but we thought it was hilarious. The stamp with the sentiment is Mo Manning's Bye Bye Girl & can be purchased from Stampingbella. The paper is Stampin Up, the pearl flatbacks were purchased off Ebay & the background embossed with a Cuttlebug folder & trimmed with a Martha Stewart punch. Again, I had some smearing problems with my red & black Copics so I've got a couple things to try for next time. Very annoying & frustrating when it happens though!

Freebie Friday
Every Friday Jodie at Bugaboo Stamps has a freebie & this is today's image & here is what I've done with it. I love this little turtle... he just says 'Celebrate' to me. I coloured him with Copics & added some Stickles for a little glitter & because you all know how I love my Stickles! The little flower is a Cuttlebug die & the paper is from my stash. This is the first time I've ever used the core paper & love the second colour when you sand the edges. After you've downloaded your freebie and maybe some of her other fab images, head on over to her blog and then check out the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog where you can see what the rest of the design team has been up to. You can also meet Sheila who is Bugaboo's guest designer for June.

Super Duper Boy
I burst out laughing when I saw Mo Manning's Super Duper Boy digital image because it reminds me so much of our youngest grandson Reid & this is his birthday card. I ended up going back to my Prisma pencils because I've been having a miserable time with the red Copics smudging. I have not used those pencils since I got the Copics for Christmas & I'm glad I had a chance to pick them up & use them again. The paper was a piece I'd got at Michael's a long time ago & the brads are just some little stash doo-dads. You can't really see it but I used Glossy Accents on the eye opening of his mask. I like the Glossy Accents as much as I do Stickles!

Looking Chic
As soon as I saw this stamp, I knew I had to have it! It is Stampavie's Looking Chic by Penny Johnson. The paper is a double sided piece I've been hoarding in my stash forever... I am such a paper hog! I hate to use the pretty stuff for fear I will run out. Anyway, I coloured it with Copic markers & used Stickles glitter to outline the layered pieces.
