Strength & Courage

It's been awhile since I've posted but I have been busy.  We went on a week long holiday to visit family in  British Columbia and also got to do some sight seeing of those rugged, wild and beautiful Rocky Mountains on the way there and took a different route home.  Of course, it's always an adventure wherever we go and this time was no different.  We drove to Cranbrook and wouldn't you know it, there was a provincial ball tournament going on so no hotel rooms to be had so another hour later we are in Creston and checking rooms.  Can you believe nothing there either?  At this point, we are so tired that we pulled into the parking lot of a grocery store and that's where we spent the night.  Let me tell you... that was a very slow and deliberate wake up... a little on the painful side too.  I am way too old to be sleeping in the car!  But hey, if we didn't have these mishaps, it would simply be an ordinary vacation and this way, we have stories to tell.  Sometime I will tell you about the flights from Dublin, Ireland to Chicago to home - not now though because it's a lonnnnngggg story!  It's always funny when you take a pair of older farm folk and throw them onto international planes and airports.  Well... it's funny later on, not when it is happening.
My card today is a Whimsy digi image designed by Kathryne of StampArt Design and called Strength & Courage and it appeared in Whimsy's Inspirations Magazine, issue #9.   The free online version is available here and the printed, larger issue can be ordered here.
The sentiment is a freebie by Raindrop Echo; the papers are My Mind’s Eye and Kraft cardstock.  The image was coloured with Copics:
                                    Beak – Y19, Y17, Y15, Y11
                                    Eye -  Y19, Y11
                                    Feathers – E29, E27, E25, E49
