Shape Ez Magnolia Template

This week's challenge at  Whimsy Stamps Inspiration Blog is Anything Goes and the design team is using TLC's Shape EZ templates.  The templates are a fun way to create different shapes and sizes of projects and then add your own flair and embellishments to create a unique project.  Easy to use too... I cut mine with a scissor and with a little bending and folding, voila... a flower!
I've used a couple different templates of Tammy's before and they are easy shmeasy to use.  I'd read somewhere that if you print the template out on the wrong side of your paper, the lines don't show and yes, that works perfectly!  For the flowers, I've used the Shape EZ Magnolia template, cutting a couple different sizes of the petals out of cardstock, then did a little crimping, folding and fluffing to give dimension.  The centers are simply a different colour of cardstock and then leaves as well.  I added a brad for the centers and then some of my favourite embellishment.... Stickles!  You know how I love that little bit of glitz they give to a card.  The little butterflies and sentiment are from the Butterfly and Verse set designed by Stamp Art Design and also available at Whimsy.  The images are coloured with Copics.
Please excuse that dratted spot on the side of the card... I don't know what it is and didn't notice it until I was done but I couldn't remove it so now I guess it's part of the card.
Be sure to head on over to the Challenge blog, check out what the rest of the DT has for inspiration and then why not enter the challenge?  Although it would be nice if you do, you don't have to use a Whimsy image to enter and all paper projects are welcome.
As well as a random winner being chosen each challenge one lucky player who has used a Whimsy Stamps image (rubber or digital) will have the opportunity to be a guest designer for a future challenge. If you have used a whimsy Image and would like to be a future guest please add GDT to your name when entering, The guest designer will be able to choose a digi stamp of their choice from the store to create their guest card too!
