Stamps R Us Challenge

Stamps R Us new challenge is to make a holiday card & is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps.  You have until December 12 to get your entry submitted.  Jodie, the fabulously talented creator of Bugaboo is generously giving 7 digi stamps to the winner.  I happen to know that today (Nov 29) is Jodie's birthday so hop on over & give her a big fat birthday wish.  For my card, I chose Bugaboo's Snowman's Bells which just happens to be the freebie this week.  When you are done shopping, you can head on over to the Bugaboo Blog  & then also check out her Catch the Bug Challenge Blog.  I coloured the image with Copics, rubbed in some distress ink to shade & added Soft Flock for the snow.  The clips are from Stampin up & the paper & brads from the stash.  I don't know who manufactures the sentiment.  It was a little set I bought used & I have used it many, many times.  If you know who's set it is from, please drop me a line & let me know.   Challenges entered:
Catch the Bug - Shopping theme & use the colour black (ok, I know this is stretching it, but I wanted to enter the Bugaboo challenge so my snowman went shopping for bells & the black is the ink I used for the image & sentiment) - ends Dec 3
Digital Tuesday - Let it Snow (plus digi) - ends Nov 30
Scrapbook Sisters - Let it Snow - ends Nov 30
Inktegrity - Anything Goes - ends Nov 30

Henry Celebrating Mouse

I apologize if this post seems a little rushed... it is.  I am hurrying to get it finished because I am leaving in the morning for an out of town work seminar & won't be home in time to post.  I will fine tune it when I get back though so please bear with me.    The challenge this week at Creative Card Crew is to create a treat box or bag & our sponsor is Simon Says Stamp.  This is a little out of my comfort zone & making anything more than a card usually makes me break out into a sweat & this treat box is no exception.  I am happy with the way it turned out but it was the second box I made (I bothered the first one with so much fidgeting that it more or less fell apart) & I coloured two other images before I decided on this one.   I've used Whiff of Joy's Henry Celebrating Mouse plus the Magical Wishes sentiment set.  These sentiments are so versatile & I use them a lot.  I must say, the Whiff of Joy rubber stamps beautifully - a nice crisp, clear image every time.  The images were coloured with Copics, the ink is Memento Tuxedo Black.  I used the Spellbinder's Tag Trio set for the tags; Spellbinders Circles & Scalloped Circles;  Tim Holtz Walnut distressing ink to shade & of course Stickles.  All of these products are readily available at Simon Says Stamp so go check it out & be sure to check out the rest of the design team's creations at Creative Card Crew & enter the challenge.

Snowmen

Our new challenge at Stamps R Us is Sparkle & Scallops & is sponsored by Stamping Boutique & I've used their Snowfriends digi.    All you have to do is add sparkles & scallops to your entry & you have a chance to win 3 digis from Stamping Boutique (she's got some fab images so go check them out).  Stampin Up's Whisper White paper is used for all three layers, including the scalloped portion the digi is printed on.  I coloured the little guys with Copics & then rubbed Tumbled Glass distress ink around all edges & around the image.  The second layer of paper was embossed with the Cuttlebug Snowflake folder & the glittery snowflakes were cute with a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment is from a set I purchased a long time ago & there's no name on it at all so I've no idea who manufactured it.  Of course my favourite medium, Stickles was added around all the edges & for the snow.
Challenges I've entered this card in:
Stampit Crazy - It's a Free for All, Just Add Glitter - ends Nov 20
Lots to Do - Friends/Friendship - ends Nov 19

New Hat

This is one of Lili of the Valley's images called New Hat.  I really like the LOTV stamps... so cute & whimsical.
I coloured this little gal with Copics & the paper & brads are from my 'hoard pile' (I'm still working on that!).  The flowers are from a huge pile I got for a gift & I know they are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The butterflies & leaves are Martha Stewart punches.

Give Thanks

Today's card is my first project as one of the newest members of the Creative Card Crew design team.  This week's challenge them is Give Thanks & is sponsored by Meljen Designs.    This digital stamp is her Autumn Leaf & Acorn design (it is on for 1/2 price right now).   so head on over to Creative Card Crew to see what the rest of the design team has in store for you.

I coloured the design with Copics & then printed & reduced the design three more times so I could get the extra acorns for the corners.  The paper is from one of the piles I hoard, the ribbon rom Stampin Up & the spacer beads were found at the Dollar Store.  The sentiment is computer generated & the swirls are done with Copper Stickles.
I've entered the card in the following challenges:
Meljen's Challenge Blog - use three different shapes (square for the center, rectangle for the sentiment & the cut out acorns) - ends Nov 10
Lots To Do - Autumn Colors - ends Nov 12

Happy, Happy, Happy!

Today I can officially announce that I am on the design team for Bizzy Becs & I think this little mouse perfectly describes how I feel about it.  If you don’t already know about it, Bizzy Becs is a fabulous online store where you can purchase all those little bits of supplies we have to have.  She also has monthly challenges on the Bizzy Becs Blog & there is a huge Welcome  blog candy package to be won.

The theme for this challenge is Cute & Sweet.  The winner will receive a $25 gift voucher plus two loyal customers will also receive a surprise.

This little guy is one of Stampabilities House Mouse & is called Oh! Happy Day & I think he is just the funniest... makes me smile when I look at him! Funny thing... I used to think those House Mouse stamps were so creepy but they've really grown on me & I find a lot of them really sweet now.

The sentiment is from Stampin Up's Happy Everything set. The ribbon is also Stampin Up. I coloured the little creature with Copics & then lightly rubbed Tim Holtz's Antique Linen around him. The embossing is with one of the Cuttlebug strips.

My card for the challenge is a digi by Pink Petticoat.  It's one of the Frillie Millies & her name is BonBon.  These are fun images & work up quickly.  I've coloured her with Copics & added pink Stickles to the dress, flower & bows.  The paper & ribbon is Stampin Up & the Sentiment is Whiff of Joy's Magical Wishes sentiment set.  I love that set & use it a lot because it is so versatile & stamps such a clear, crisp image.
