Bugaboo Oldie But a Goodie

Today is an Oldie But Goodie day at Bugaboo Stamps & I chose to use one of Jodie's  Wee Ones Fairies & this little gal is title 'Leaning on Knees'.  These aren't real old... heck, I have stamps in my stash that are a year old (I like to say they are 'curing').  They were with the May releases & are too cute to pass up.  I used Copic markers, ribbon & flatbacks from the stash, the paper is Stampin Up & of course any time you do fairies or angels... you get to use Stickles, Stickles, Stickles!!!

Bugaboo Male Call Sketch Challenge

This week's challenge at Bugaboo Stamps is to make a card for a boy, guy or man using the given sketch - check it out at Catch the Bug Blogspot.   For my submission, I chose the Bugaboo Cowboy Lasso.  I coloured the image with copics & although it's hard to see, I did sponge in colour behind the dude to give him some dimesion.  I did cheat a bit... the sketch shows two flowers & I added a third.  The flowers are Petaloos & I pulled the gem centre off & glued in some pearls so they would match the rest of the embellishments.  Instead of using the lasso in the image, I added one by gluing down some jute.

Henry Mouse

I love Whiff of Joy's Henry Mouse.  I'm not so keen on mice but it's hard not to like this little guy.  I did have a lot of trouble with the red Copics smearing & I don't know if it is my paper or just the colour because it's the one I seem to have a lot of difficulty with.  I used the Spellbinder's Nestabilities Big Scallop Squares LG to get the shape of the card, stamped the background with a music stamp I received for Christmas & added Petaloo Dazzlers.  I like those glittery little flowers as much as I like Stickles!  The sentiment is computer generated & I hung it on with a bit of jute.

Bugaboo Challenge

This week's challenge at Bugaboo Stamps is Flower Power.  I decided there's a lot of flowers at a wedding & chose the June JJ from Jodie's calendar month collection.  What a hoot this little dame is!  I used Copics to colour the image but really, there is hardly any colouring except for her hair, bouquet & a little shading on her dress & veil.  The paper is some fab stuff I found from The Paper Company called Classic Dots.  A silver gel pen was used to outline her glasses, choker, flowers & the outer edges of the cardstock.  I added some Diamond stickles (I love diamonds & then my next favourite thing is Stickles!) to the flowers, glued them & some pearls on & done!

Bugaboo Anything But a Card

Monday's assignment at Bugaboo Stamps was Anything But a Card so I chose to do a mini Easter basket & the logical choice was Jodie's Easter Bunny digi called Fast Asleep.  The paper colours are terra cotta & yellow & I used the Martha Stewart doily punch for the handle & coloured the image with Copics. I added some flowers from my stash & for the opposite side, I stamped a sentiment from Inkadinkado's Chelsea Sentiments clear set & added a turquoise bow.
